Day 1: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Hutongs
Catch a look of the lives of China’s old emperors here. The forbidden city for sure will amaze you with its hundreds delicate decorated rooms and grand aura.
Take a rickshaw to explore the old lanes and courtyard houses in old Hutongs. Visit a family who’ve lived in the Hutongs for generations and get some unique insights from a local perspective.

Day 2: Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall
Watch locals exercising, practicing martial arts, playing traditional instruments among 60,000 ancient trees on the Temple of Heaven’s grounds.
The Temple of Heaven provided a place for emperors to pray to ‘the highest God in heaven’.
After we will climb the Great Wall of China(Mutianyu) which is less crowded with the most spectacular views.
We recommend you DaDong roast duck and a delicate kungfu show in the evening.
Day 3: The Summer Palace, Cruise on Kunming Lake
The Summer Palace was originally the imperial court’s summer retreat, and still makes a nice place to escape the heat of the summer. You can also take a dragon-shaped boat tour on Kunming Lake.
Take a flight or sleeper train to Xi’an.
Day 4: Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi’an Imperial Arts Centre
A most important archaeological discovery and must-to-see are the life-sized Terracotta Warriors and horses. Next we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in AD 652, a traditional architecture combining with Buddhist historic statues, murals and scriptures topped off by the best panoramic view over Xi’an. And check the rare live jade carving at Xi’an Imperial Arts Centre.
You can also go for Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show or take a short walk to see the Bell Tower/Drum Tower at free time.
Day 5: Shaanxi History Museum, the ancient city wall, Muslim Street
Shaanxi History Museum offers a perfect overview of Chinese history. Next cycle around Xi’an on the city wall which is a best preserved and brings you into an old atmosphere. Discover the local Muslim heritage of Muslim Street dating back to the Silk Road era.
The day ends with a flight to Shanghai.
Day 6: Yuyuan Garden, World Financial Center, the Bund
After charming Yuyuan Garden which is one of the most beautiful Suzhou style gardens we’ll visit to see a silk workshop as a perfect contrast to the panoramic views from World Financial Center. And we will have a visit to another era, the Bund, which still retains its colonial charm.
Also optional is Shanghai Museum, which is rated by many as the best Museum in this country.
